A protein synthesis inhibitor
產品介紹: 對抗許多酵母(yeasts)和真菌(fungi)抗生素。 干擾轉譯(translocation)步驟進而抑制真核生物中蛋白質的合成(不在原核生物中)。它通過作用於真核生物核醣體(eukaryote ribosome)的60S亞基(60S subunit)來抑制鏈起始以及鏈延伸(chain elongation),直接與酶轉位酶(translocase)相互作用。 環己酰亞胺(Cycloheximide)用作抑制劑以研究真核生物中的無細胞蛋白質生物合成(cell-free protein biosynthesis),並且還用於阻斷核醣體依賴性(ribosome-dependent)體內多肽合成。 它在多種細胞中誘導細胞凋亡(apoptosis),但也可以通過其他藥物延遲或抑制細胞凋亡(apoptosis)。
