G-418 disulfate (Synonyms: Geneticin sulfate; Antibiotic G-418 sulfate)
G418 也稱為 G-418、G418 sulfate 或 Geneticin，G418 sulfate 是一種氨基糖苷類新黴素類似物(aminoglycoside neomycin analogue)，可干擾蛋白質合成(protein synthesis )，已廣泛用於選擇具有新黴素抗性 (neomycin resistance, NR) 的哺乳動物細胞株(mammalian cell lines )。新黴素抗性 (neomycin resistance, neo) 基因在真核載體中經常用作顯性可選擇基因。

G418 sulfate, an aminoglycoside neomycin analogue, interferes with protein synthesis and has been used extensively for selection of mammalian cell lines that possess neomycin resistance (NR). The neomycin resistance (neo) gene is frequently used in eukaryotic vectors as a dominant selectable gene. G418 can be covalently bound to asialoorosomucoid (AsOR) to form a conjugate for hepatocyte-specific targeting and toxicity[2]. MCE has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods.
