羥基自由基(hydroxyl radical)•OH,是氫氧根離子(hydroxide ion , OH-),高反應性(容易變成羥基)。羥基自由基(Hydroxyl free radicals)作用於體內的蛋白質(proteins)、核酸(nucleic acids)、脂類(lipids)等生物分子,對細胞造成損害結構(structure)和功能(function),進而導致體內代謝紊亂(metabolic disorders)並引起疾病。羥基自由基清除能力(Hydroxyl free radical scavenging capacity)是樣品抗氧化能力的重要指標之一,已廣泛應用於抗氧化保健品(antioxidant health products)和藥物(drugs)的研究。

CheKine™ 羥基自由基清除能力比色測定試劑盒(CheKine™ Hydroxyl Free Radical Scavenging Capacity Colorimetric Assay Kit, KTB1091)專為檢測各種樣品中的羥基自由基清除能力(Hydroxyl Free Radical Scavenging Capacity)而開發。操作簡單方便,檢測更加靈敏準確。在該測定中,H2O2/ Fe2+ 產生羥基自由基(hydroxyl free radical)通過芬頓反應(Fenton reaction)。水楊酸(Salicylic acid)能有效捕捉生成的羥基自由基(hydroxyl free radical)並與之反應生成產生最大吸收峰在 520 nm 的 2,3-二羥基苯甲酸(2,3-dihydroxybenzoic acid)。在具有能力的物質之後清除羥基自由基,導致520nm吸光度下降。 520 nm 的吸光度值可以反映樣品的羥基自由基清除能力。

| Applications notes | Abbkine CheKine™ Hydroxyl Free Radical Scavenging Capacity Assay Kit (Colorimetric) (Salicylic Acid Method) is specially developed for the detection of Hydroxyl Free Radical Scavenging Capacity in various sample. The operation is simple and convenient, and the detection is more sensitive and accurate. In this assay, H2O2/ Fe2+ generates hydroxyl free radical through the Fenton reaction. Salicylic acid can effectively capture the generated hydroxyl free radical and reacts with them to produce 2,3- dihydroxybenzoic acid with a maximum absorption peak at 520 nm. After the substances with the capacity to scavenge hydroxyl free radical, resulting in the decrease of 520 nm absorbance. The value of 520 nm absorbance can reflects the Hydroxyl Free Radical Scavenging Capacity of the sample. |
