PDGFA重組蛋白介紹:  PDGF家族 (PDGF family) 由四種不同多肽鏈的五種不同的二硫鍵連接的二聚體組成：A，B，C和D （PDGF-AA，PDGF-BB，PDGF-AB，PDGF-CC和PDGF-DD）。主要由巨核細胞合成 (megakaryocytes) ，PDGF存儲在血小板(platelets)的α顆粒中(alpha granules)，血小板活化後它們從血小板中釋放。 PDGF受體(PDGF receptors)在成纖維細胞(fibroblasts)，成骨細胞(osteoblasts)，成軟骨細胞(chondroblasts)，平滑肌細胞(smooth muscle cells)，神經膠質細胞(glial cells)和內皮細胞(endothelial cells)中表達。 PDGF作為自分泌(autocrine)和旁分泌生長因子(paracrine growth factor)起作用，參與許多生物過程，包括但不限於增生(hyperplasia)，趨化性(chemotaxis)，胚胎神經元發育(embryonic neuron development)，傷口癒合(wound healing )和呼吸小管上皮細胞發育。在血管增生性疾病(vascular proliferative diseases)如動脈粥樣硬化(atherosclerosis)中觀察到PDGF的異常表達。 PDGF調節其自身受體的合成，並且還影響IL1，EGF，5-羥色胺(5-Hydroxytryptamine)，LDL和轉鐵蛋白(transferrin)的膜受體的表達。重組人PDGFA是兩條A鏈的二硫鍵連接的同型二聚體。
