BrdU Cell Proliferation Assay Kit

5-溴-2-脫氧尿苷（5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine, BrdU）是嘧啶類似物 ( pyrimidine analog)。 它被 incorporated 到新合成的增殖細胞DNA (proliferating cells) 中，代替胸苷 (thymidine)。 Biovision的BrdU細胞增殖測定試劑盒(BrdU Cell Proliferation Assay Kit, k306) 使用小鼠抗BrdU抗體 (anti-BrdU antibody) 檢測摻入的BrdU。 使用抗小鼠HRP連接的二抗 ( anti-mouse HRP-linked secondary antibody) 來檢測與BrdU結合的抗BrdU抗體，然後加入TMB（HRP substrate）。 顯色程度與摻入細胞中的BrdU量成正比，可以直接用作細胞增殖 (cell proliferation) 的指標。 與其他細胞增殖測定相比，該試劑盒僅檢測增殖細胞而不檢測seeded cells。 這種高度敏感的非放射性試劑盒可檢測到少於50-100個增殖細胞 (proliferating cells)。
