Benzonase, E. Coli Recombinant一種非特異性，高活性的核酸酶，可降解單鍊和雙鏈核酸。Golden核酸酶 (Golden Nuclease)是在大腸桿菌中產生的粘質沙雷氏菌細胞外核酸內切酶 (Serratia macescens extracellular endonuclease)之重組形式。 Golden Nuclease是一種同型二聚體(homodimer)，單體分子量(monomer molecular masses) 約為30 kDa。核酸酶(Nuclease)中發現的兩個二硫鍵對其活性和穩定性至關重要。該酶是一種具有高比活性的非特異性核酸酶，可降解任何形式例如單鏈 (single stranded)，雙鏈(double stranded)，線性(linear)，環狀(circular)和超螺旋(supercoile)的單鍊(double stranded)和雙鏈核酸(single stranded)。它將存在於核苷酸之間的內部磷酸二酯鍵水解成長度為3-8個鹼基的5′-磷酸化寡核苷酸(5′-phosphorylated oligonucleotides)。
