DNA片段化為細胞凋亡的其中一項特徵。細胞凋亡活化內生性的內切酶，接著在核內將染色質DNA切斷成以180bp為倍數的小片段（360、540 etc.）。這個現象可以被例如DNA laddering assay、TUNEL assay、或Nicoletti assay用來偵測細胞凋亡。Biovision提供一系列Apoptotc DNA Fragment針對DNA ladder進行DNA萃取。貨號K120-50快速偵測細胞凋亡產生的DNA片段。與市面上動輒須要1－2天操作的套組相比。只需90分鐘以內的時間即可將染色體DNA製備完成。使用單管操作，不須純化或管柱操作。增加小片段DNA的回收，並增加靈敏度。
