甲磺酸去鐵胺(Deferoxamine mesylate ) 是一種特異性的鐵螯合劑 ( iron-chelating agent) [1][2][3] 甲磺酸去鐵胺(Deferoxamine mesylate )可用於治療急性鐵中毒。去鐵胺與鐵絡合形成鐵胺,阻止鐵參與進一步的化學反應。形成的螯合物易溶於水,並能輕鬆通過腎臟[1]。在移植了13762NF乳癌細胞的Fisher大鼠中,甲磺酸去鐵胺(Deferoxamine mesylate ) 抑制了該大鼠的腫瘤生長。而注射甲磺酸去鐵胺(Deferoxamine mesylate ) 合併低鐵飲食對腫瘤生長的抑制效果最佳。甲磺酸去鐵胺(Deferoxamine mesylate ) 能是一種有效的乳癌化療藥物[2]。在Sprague-Dawley大鼠中,手術前經腹腔動脈注射甲磺酸去鐵胺(Deferoxamine mesylate ) (75-90毫克;300毫克/公斤)。甲磺酸去鐵胺(Deferoxamine mesylate ) 顯著降低原位肝臟自體移植術後血清澱粉酶、脂肪酶和丙二醛 (MDA) 水平。甲磺酸去鐵胺(Deferoxamine mesylate ) 也透過上調 HIF-1 蛋白表現和抑制氧化毒性反應來保護胰臟組織 [3]。
