誘發疾病模型產品 (Induced Disease Models Products)-葡聚醣硫酸鈉鹽（Dextran sulfate sodium salt , DSS）
葡聚醣硫酸鈉鹽(dextran sulfate sodium salt )形式使其可溶於水且穩定。硫酸葡聚醣(Dextran sulfate )含有約 17% 的硫，相當於每個葡萄糖殘基約 2.3 個硫酸基。葡聚醣硫酸鈉鹽（Dextran sulfate sodium salt , DSS）是葡聚醣(dextran)與氯磺酸酯化而成的聚陰離子衍生物 (polyanionic derivative)。發炎性腸道疾病（Inflammatory bowel disease , IBD）是一種慢性( chronic)、復發性胃腸道感染(relapsing gastrointestinal infection)，會增加腸道腫瘤(intestinal tumors)的風險。 1985年，首次通報右旋糖酐鈉鹽（Dextran sulfate sodium salt, DSS）可用來建立倉鼠潰瘍性結腸炎模型。大量研究表明，DSS結腸炎模型與人類潰瘍性結腸炎(ulcerative colitis)相似。透過改變（Dextran sulfate sodium salt , DSS）的濃度和給藥頻率可以誘導發炎性腸道疾病（Inflammatory bowel disease , IBD）的急性、慢性和復發模型。葡聚醣硫酸鈉鹽(dextran sulfate sodium salt )也用於分子生物學應用，包括脂蛋白沉澱(lipoprotein precipitation)、加速 DNA 探針與核酸雜交以及核醣體分離(ribosome separation)。
