β-葡萄糖苷酶(β-GLUCOSIDASE)是一種葡萄糖苷酶( glucosidase enzyme),作用於連接兩個葡萄糖或β1->4 鍵(glucose-substituted molecule)葡萄糖取代的分子(即二糖纖維二糖)。生物體需要β-葡萄糖苷酶) (β-Glucosidases),某些真菌(fungi)、細菌(bacteria)、白蟻( termites)用於消耗纖維素(cellulose)。溶菌酶( Lysozyme)也是一種 β-葡萄糖苷酶(β-glucosidase )並且存在防止眼睛細菌感染。在人類中,β-葡萄糖苷酶異構體的活性較低,溶酶體葡萄糖腦苷酶(lysosomal gluco-cerebrosidase)與戈謝病( Gaucher’s disease)和帕金森病( Parkinson’s disease)有關。β-葡萄糖苷酶檢測試劑盒(Beta-Glucosidase Assay Kit)旨在直接測量生物樣品中的 β-葡萄糖苷酶活性( β-glucosidase activity)。無需預處理。改進的方法利用水解的對硝基苯基-β-D-吡喃葡萄糖苷( p-nitrophenyl-β-D-glucopyranoside)通過 β-葡萄糖苷酶(β-glucosidase)轉化為黃色產物(最大吸光度為 405 nm)的比率反應與酶活性成正比。

酶樣品(Enzyme samples )可以在 50 mM 磷酸鹽 (pH 7.0) 緩衝液中或任何其他合適的酶緩衝液中。已知以下化學物質會影響酶活性,應避免使用。含 SH 的試劑(例如二硫蘇糖醇、2-巰基乙醇、穀胱甘肽)、Ca2+、Cu2+、Fe3+/Fe2+、Hg2+、Mg2+、Ni2+、Zn2+、SDS、EDTA 和 Tris。
