常見膠原蛋白的檢測分三大類檢測
一、ELISA檢測法:
<分有不同物種或通用型檢測>ELISA KIT方式原理為使用抗體與抗原檢測；分有不同物種， 物種上會有所限制，針對 Collagen第幾型也具專一性。但操作較為簡單。如貨號SEA176Po及SEA180po產品 (以豬為例)。若以魚類膠原白檢測為 Collagen I(CK-bio-20959)。

二、酸和鹼進行廣泛的水解程序:
<不分物種及分型>酸和鹼進行廣泛的水解程序。如 ab222942為依據原膠原肽鏈的一級結構具有(Gly-x-y)n重複序列, 其中x常為脯氨酸(Pro), y常為羥脯氨酸(Hypro)或羥賴氨酸(Hylys)。該測定基於樣品的酸水解以形成水解產物和羥脯氨酸。該釋放的羥脯氨酸被氧化形成反應中間體，以（Abs 560nm）測量。總膠原含量測定試劑盒（無高氯酸鹽）｜貨號abcam ab222942
三、酵素分解為Peptide後再與染料反應:

羥脯氨酸（Hydroxyproline, 4-羥脯氨酸）
