What is the origin of the Blyscan assay name?

Limits of Detection Using a 100µl sample aliquot, a 0.25µg quantity of chondroitin 4sulfate (equivalent to 2.5 µg/ml) gives a 656nm absorbance value of ~0.10. The maximum 656nm absorbance value for 5µg (equivalent to 50 µg/ml) sGAG is ~1.0. Higher absorbance values will depart from a linear correlation between absorbance and concentration.
