Anti-alpha V beta 8 integrin [EM13309], Mouse IgG1, Kappa貨號Ab00892-1.1  

Immunohistochemical staining of various human tumour cell lines using anti-alpha-V beta 8 integrin antibody (Ab00892) EM13309 Anti-alpha-V beta 8 integrin staining of formaldehyde fixed paraffin embedded Hs 852 T, IGROV-1 and HCC-827 cell line samples exhibiting varying degrees of target expression (level in parentheses). The rabbit-chimeric version of EM13309 (Ab00892-23.0) was used to stain samples at a concentration of 2 µg/ml.

Immunogen: This antibody was raised by immunising rabbits, isolating B cells from the immunised rabbits and fusing these with a rabbit plasmacytoma cell line (established by Spieker-Polet et al., 1995) to produce stable hybridomas

Specificity: This antibody is specific for the extracellular domain of human recombinant transmembrane-truncated (DTM) αvβ8 integrin, a dimeric cell surface protein that mediates cell attachment. αvβ8 integrin promotes the activation of latent TGF-β, as well as inhibiting tumour cell growth.

Application Notes: This antibody has been used to specifically bind αvβ8 in Western blots and in flow cytometry, and to specifically stain αvβ8 integrins in FFPE(formalin fixed paraffin embedded)/TMA material, where murine antibodies function poorly (Goodman et al, 2012; Heß et al., 2014; Roth et al, 2013). αvβ8 is weakly expressed in human tumour specimens and non-small-cell lung carcinoma, with some expression in ovarian carcinoma and melanoma cells.
