Recombinant monoclonal antibody to Vaccinia L1 protein. Manufactured using AbAb’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma M12b9 Fab.

抗體貨號	Ab00775-2.0 / Ab00775-2.3 / Ab00775-1.6 / Ab00775-23.0	特異性This fab is specific for a conformational epitope on the vaccina virus L1 protein. L1 is a myristoylated, transmembrane protein found on the surface of the mature virion that plays a key role in the formation of infectious virus. L1 is conserved in all orthopoxviruses, and its sequence is almost identical among vaccinia virus, Variola virus and monkeypox virus.
	This antibody was prepared by intranasally infecting BALB/c mice with an attenuated vaccinia virus (VACV) mutant, followed by a boost with an intravenous injection of UV-inactivated WT VACV.
免疫原	This Fab was generated by papain digestion of purified M12B9, a murine anti-vaccinia L1 mAb, which was raised by immunizing mice with live vaccinia virus (VACV) and refolded L1 protein.
應用注意	This Fab forms a stable complex with L1 protein, and consequently has been used in X-ray crystallography studies to determine the complex’s structure and the mode of Fab binding to L1 (Kaever, 2014). This Fab has been shown to bind to four long loops that connect the 4-helix bundle at the tip of L1, in an orientation that is very similar to that of the antibody 7D11. In addition, this Fab has been used in biolayer interferometry (BLI)-based assays.
