產品介紹:

明膠(Gelatin)是一種無色至淡黃色固體，呈粉末、片狀或塊狀，有光澤，無臭、無味。相對分子質量約為50,000至100,000。相對密度1.3～1.4。不溶於水，但浸入水中時能吸收5-10倍的水而膨脹軟化。如果加熱，它會溶解成膠體。冷卻至35～40℃以下，會形成凝膠；若水溶液長時間煮沸，溶液因分解而性質改變，冷卻後不再形成凝膠。不溶於乙醇、乙醚和氯仿，溶於熱水(hot water)、甘油( glycerol)、丙二醇(propylene glycol)、乙酸(acetic acid)、水楊酸( salicylic acid)、鄰苯二甲酸(phthalic acid)、尿素(urea)、硫脲( thiourea)、硫氰酸(thiocyanate)和溴化鉀(potassium bromide)。本品濃度低於5%時不凝固，通常與10%～15%溶液形成凝膠。發生凝膠化的溫度隨濃度、共存鹽分和 pH 值而改變。黏度和凝膠強度隨相對分子質量分佈而變化，並受 pH、溫度和電解質的影響。產品溶液若遇到甲醛，會變成不溶於水的不可逆凝膠。本品易吸潮，因細菌而腐敗，應注意保存。經水解可得到多種胺基酸。

Instructions:

本產品的用途可分為兩類。一種具有保護能力的膠體，作為分散劑(dispersant)，用於聚氯乙烯(polyvinyl chloride)、照相材料(photographic materials)、細菌培養(bacterial culture)及製藥、食品（如糖果、冰淇淋、魚膠油膠囊等）的生產，也可用作保護膠體(protective colloid)的濁度或比色測定。另一種則利用其黏合能力作為黏合劑，應用於造紙、印刷、紡織、印染和電鍍等工業部門。細胞培養用明膠：使用去離子水，1%為濃縮液，稀釋至0.1%後包被。最佳濃度取決於細胞類型以及應用或研究目的。配置後經高溫高壓滅菌，一般包覆1小時即可，然後吸乾，無需清洗。

Gelatin for cell culture: Use deionized water, 1% is the concentration of concentrated mother liquor, diluted to 0.1% before use to coat.
