CD40 Recombinant Protein

CD40，也稱為腫瘤壞死因子受體超家族成員 5 (tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 5 , TNFRSF5)，是一種 I 型跨膜蛋白(Type I transmembrane protein )，表達於 B 細胞表面和免疫系統的專業抗原呈遞細胞(professional antigen-presenting cells )，以及幾種非造血細胞類型(non-hematopoietic cell types)和癌症(cancers)。 CD40 與 CD40 ligand (CD40L/TNFSF5) 相互作用，CD40 ligand主要在活化的 T 細胞上表達，但也有報導在血小板(blood platelets)、肥大細胞(mast cells)、嗜鹼性粒細胞(basophils)、NK 細胞(NK cells)和 B 細胞上表達。在與 CD40L 結合後，CD40 通過 TNF 受體( TNF receptor )相關因子和 MAP 激酶信號通路(MAP kinase signaling pathways)發出信號，導致多種免疫( immune)和炎症反應(inflammatory responses)，包括樹突狀細胞激活( dendritic cell activation)和交叉呈遞(cross-presentation)、T 細胞依賴性免疫球蛋白類別轉換(T cell-dependent immunoglobulin class switching)、記憶 B 細胞發育(memory B cell development)和germinal center 形成。 CD40/CD40L 軸對於細胞和體液適應性免疫(humoral adaptive immunity)的啟動和進展至關重要，是腫瘤免疫學(tumor immunology)、神經退行性疾​​病(neurodegenerative diseases)、血管疾病(vascular diseases)和炎症性疾病( inflammatory disorders)研究中的一個重要領域。
