This enzyme is a useful additive in PCR or RT-PCR as it safe-guards RNA against potential RNase contamination without inhibiting polymerase activity. This robust version of RNase inhibitor has improved resistance to oxidation over the highly oxidation-sensitive human RNase inhibitor.
