The Human Endometrial Somatic Stem Cells are established from human endometrial side population cells, specifically from the Epithelial fraction (ICEp; Cat. No. T4107) or the Stromal fraction (ICEs; Cat. No. T4108).<\/p>\n<p>Both cell types retain the ability to undergo osteogenic and adipogenic differentiation\u00a0<em>in vitro\u00a0<\/em>. After adipogenic induction, the cells show lipid accumulation in the cytoplasm and increased expression of lipoprotein lipase (LPL). When under osteogenic induction, the cells stain positive for bonesialoprotein (BSP) and show increased expression of osterix. Furthermore, both cell types are capable of reconstructing total endometrial-like tissue\u00a0<em>in vivo<\/em>\u00a0when transplanted beneath the renal capsule of NOD-SCID mice.
